CoInnovate 2016

At CoInnovate 2016, we began our journey with a grand vision led by growth and worked our way to highlight initiatives that are needed in realising this vision; from the importance of supporting SMEs and technology clusters, through to the effective tools, market-led opportunities and key technologies for enabling collaborative innovation that will drive growth across a number of sectors.

Congratulations to Dashboard Ltd!

The Pitch Live! 2016 Panel had a tough time on their hands – the quality of pitches, technologies and capabilities were impressive. However, there can only be one SME crowned winner of Pitch Live! and the 2016 prestigious award was proudly given to Peter Stirling of Dashboard Ltd by Avril Lewis, Director of the ESTnet!

Delighted to receive the award, Peter Stirling shared his thoughts on CoInnovate 2016: “It was my first time attending CoInnovate, but it was fantastic to see a fresh approach to an innovation conference.  To bring together like-minded experts from multiple industries, plus academia and government, resulted in a strong dynamic that produced interesting concepts form the innovation challenges.  To have pitched the Dashboard technology in the PitchLive competition (and to have won!) was a great experience and very positive for the company, given it was judged by an expert panel.”

Exploring challenges through collaboration

Once again, leading organisations looking for solutions pitched their challenges to the audience. Across the two days, innovators across industry and academia had engaging discussions around potential ideas and technologies that could support feasible solutions to the needs. What industry said:

“Coming from an industrial background it was refreshing to find the opportunity to discuss real blue-sky ideas with people from all backgrounds and also to work with others to determine how these could be brought to reality. We will be sure to attend next year’s event!”

– Anthony Kinsella, The Weir Group
